Laura Harmasch has had a passion for working with children her whole life. Over time she became more and more interested in capturing the memories of the simple moments, the moments that many take for granted. These are the moments that show a child’s personality, passion, and zest for life. These moments are so fleeting and yet often go uncaptured. Her goal is to help you capture your child “in this moment” so that you can remember them just as they are.

Laura works both on location and at her studio in Geneva.  She prefers to use primarily natural light. Newborns and milestones sessions are generally completed in studio.  Laura has worked on location in and outside of clients’ homes, in parks and urban settings. She enjoys the challenge of working in new settings and looks for opportunities to capture children, teens, and families in surroundings most comfortable for them. She prefers to document life and interaction.

Laura lives in the Fox Valley region of IL. Most of her clients reside in the Fox Valley or Western Suburbs of Chicago. When not out photographing, Laura works as an occupational therapist with children who have special needs. Laura’s desire is to create a comfortable and enjoyable photography experience. She makes it a priority to tailor each session to the individual client. Documenting the lives of children, teens, and families is what she loves!
